SPACE CAMP

PROGRAM

SPACE TRAINING

PROGRAM

All equipment adapted from NASA’s astronaut program. Trainees will learn about the past, present and future of space exploration amid space artifacts to show real-world applications of STEM. Simulated space mission will be conducted and the trainees will have to solve anomalies and maintain their deep space exploration mission. The practice of clear communication during Underwater Astronaut Training is required. The STEM skills will be put to a test during many engineering challenges including Thermal Design Challenge and Rocketry Program.

ACTIVITIES OF SPACE TRAINING PROGRAM

1

Train on astronaut simulators, including Multi-Axis Trainer, the Five Degrees of Freedom Chair, the 1/6 Gravity Chair and the Manned Maneuvering Unit (MMU)

2

Build and launch rockets

3

Simulated space missions

4

Design and build customized rockets and heat shields

5

Spacesuit theory and design

6

SCUBA spacewalk training

7

Centrifuge

8

Jet aircraft simulations

9

SPACE CAMP

FOR AGES 9-11

Train like an astronaut in a program that includes model rocket launches and simulated missions into space.

 SPACE ACADEMY

FOR AGES 12-14

Launch on a complex simulated mission to the International Space Station or to the moon, build rockets and form new friendships.

ADVANCED SPACE ACADEMY

FOR AGES 15-18

Learn real-world applications of STEM principles as you fly pilot simulations, test your mettle in engineering design challenges, tackle the high ropes course or SCUBA dive in our Underwater Astronaut Trainer.
